Avion Express Brasil, a subsidiary of Avion Express, has achieved a significant operational milestone. The carrier has secured its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).
This pivotal approval marks the official launch of Brazil’s first dedicated ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) operator.
It further solidifies Avion Express’ position as a leading force in global air charter and ACMI solutions.
Q1 2025 Operations Commencement
This achievement paves the way for Avion Express Brasil to commence commercial operations in the first quarter of 2025.
The company plans to deploy up to 10 Airbus A320 family aircraft by the end of its inaugural year. Looking further ahead, Avion Express Brasil aims to expand its fleet to 25 aircraft by 2027/2028.
This strategically addresses the escalating demand for flexible and efficient capacity solutions within the dynamic Latin American aviation market.
Strategic Growth in a Key Market
Avion Express has long recognized the immense potential of Latin America as a critical growth region. Building on successful partnerships in Mexico and recent operational launches in Argentina, Brazil represents a logical and strategic next step.
Darius Kajokas, CEO of Avion Express, highlights the significance of this expansion. “The Avion Express Brasil AOC represents a major leap forward for ACMI solutions. It unlocks a new market and introduces innovative capacity management tools to Brazilian airlines.”
He further acknowledges ANAC’s support, emphasizing the value of this expansion. “With the aviation industry facing fluctuating demand, our ACMI solutions will offer Brazilian airlines the flexibility they need to optimize their operations.”
“We are confident our services will bridge capacity gaps while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and reliability.”

Seasonal Demand and Operational Flexibility
The ACMI business model specifically tackles the challenges of seasonal demand and operational fluctuations. Seasonal shifts and varying passenger volumes are key factors that underscore the value and efficiency of ACMI solutions.
“ACMI solutions are strategically crafted to address peak travel seasons,” explains Esteban Jauregui Lorda, CEO of Avion Express Brasil. “They allow airlines to scale their fleets up or down as needed, providing crucial flexibility to adapt to market fluctuations and seasonality.”
The Brazilian tourism and aviation sectors are poised for continued growth in 2025. Backed by the robust investment of Avia Solutions Group, Avion Express Brasil is well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of airlines.
“With our AOC secured, we are ready to provide Brazilian airlines with reliable and cost-effective capacity solutions,” adds Jauregui Lorda. “This will help them manage peak demand and market shifts seamlessly.”
